Book Review #4 - Appointment with Death, by Agatha Christie

Reason of the choice
I picked this book to read because I haven't read any book of this author and some people had already told me that her books were really amazing, so I decided to give it a shot.

Reaction to the first pages
As my expectations were very high, I didn’t find those first pages as interesting as I was expecting but, with the course of the book, I started to get more and more interested.

Summary
This book tells us the story of an American family which goes in a trip. However, during the trip, the “Mother”, who was an evil woman, was murdered.

Most of the people didn't like her but her death was a murder so it had to be investigated to found out who the murderer was. For that reason, Hercule Poirot was summoned to solve the case and he was able to do it.

I won't write much more about the plot of the book or it would lose much of its interest.

Highlights
As I said before, I didn’t found this book interesting since the beginning but it started to get more and more interesting and the suspense grew from page to page and this is something I think it should be highlighted.

Besides, the way Hercule Poirot solved the case was amazing because he solved it just by deducting what happened having as a basis the testimonies given by everyone and their psychological characteristics.

Recommendation
I think this book was really amazing and everyone who loves good detective novels should read it because it is very suspenseful and I found it very similar to the Sherlock Holmes’ novels.
